Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the VeriBaby mobile apps and websites (the “Service”), operated by VeriBaby (“VeriBaby,” “we,” “us”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

VeriBaby is an informational tool that helps caregivers check baby food and infant formula against official recall and contamination records from sources such as the FDA, USDA, and CPSC, showing the source and freshness of each result.

VeriBaby is not medical advice and does not certify any product as safe. A result of “no known recall” means only that no recall was found in the cited source at that time — not that a product is safe. Official data can be incomplete or delayed. Always rely on the official recall notice and consult a pediatrician for health decisions, especially if your child has symptoms or higher risk.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. The Service is intended for parents and caregivers.

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. Provide accurate information and notify us of any unauthorized use.

Recall lookups are free. Optional premium features are offered as auto-renewing subscriptions. Mobile purchases are billed through the Apple App Store (via RevenueCat); web purchases are billed through Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; manage or cancel through your App Store account or Stripe billing portal. Except where required by law or store policy, payments are non-refundable. Prices and features may change with notice.

Do not misuse the Service: no scraping or bulk extraction beyond normal use, no attempts to breach security, no reverse engineering except as permitted by law, no unlawful, infringing, or harmful use, and no misrepresenting VeriBaby results as an official safety certification.

The Service, including its software, design, and content (excluding third-party and official-source data), belongs to VeriBaby and is protected by law. Product, brand, and company names and logos are trademarks of their respective owners; we reference them only to identify the products a recall or record concerns, and this does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by those owners.

The Service relies on third parties (e.g., Supabase, Apple, Google, RevenueCat, Stripe) and links to official sources. We are not responsible for third-party services or the accuracy of official source data, which is provided by those authorities.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT RECALL OR CONTAMINATION DATA IS COMPLETE, ACCURATE, OR CURRENT, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE. THE SERVICE IS NOT MEDICAL ADVICE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VERIBABY AND ITS SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS ARISING FROM YOUR RELIANCE ON THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR USD $100. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

You agree to indemnify and hold VeriBaby harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.

We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with a new date. We may suspend or terminate access for violations or to protect the Service. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and disputes will be resolved in the courts located there, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
