Privacy Policy

VeriBaby (“VeriBaby,” “we,” “us”) helps caregivers check baby food and infant formula against official recall and contamination records. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the VeriBaby mobile apps and the websites at veribaby.com, veribaby.app, and their subdomains.

Account information. When you sign in (with Apple, Google, or a one-time email code) we receive your email address and a provider identifier. We do not receive your social-account password.

Product activity. Products you scan or search, items you save to a watchlist, and household members you invite. This lets us return recall verdicts and alert you if a saved product is later recalled.

Usage & device data. App and page events, approximate app version, device type, and — if you enable notifications — a push token. We use a privacy-conscious analytics provider (PostHog) to understand which features help caregivers.

Payment data. If you subscribe, payments are handled by Apple, RevenueCat, or Stripe. We receive subscription status (active, trial, expired) — we never receive or store your full card number.

Support communications. If you email us, we keep the message to respond and improve the service.

To provide recall checks and verdicts; to send the alerts and digests you opt into; to operate accounts, subscriptions, and households; to measure and improve the product; to keep the service secure and prevent abuse; and to comply with legal obligations.

VeriBaby summarizes and links publicly available recall and contamination records from official sources including the U.S. FDA, USDA, CPSC, and state programs. Every result shows its source and a freshness date. VeriBaby never certifies a product as safe — it reports whether an official recall or finding exists in the cited data.

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers who process it on our behalf under contract: hosting and database (Supabase, Railway), content delivery (Cloudflare), analytics (PostHog), email (Resend), payments (Apple, RevenueCat, Stripe), and sign-in (Apple, Google). We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users. If we ever use affiliate links, they are disclosed.

VeriBaby is an informational tool, not medical advice. It does not replace guidance from a pediatrician or an official recall notice. Always follow the official source and consult a healthcare professional for health decisions.

VeriBaby is intended for parents and caregivers (adults). It is about products fed to infants but is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

We keep account and product data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service, then delete or anonymize it within a reasonable period unless a longer term is required by law.

We use industry-standard measures — encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and limit access.

Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can manage notifications in the app and request account deletion at any time. To exercise these rights, email us at the address below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them.

We operate in the United States and may process your information there and in other countries where our providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

We may update this policy as the service evolves. We will post the new version here with a revised date and, for material changes, provide additional notice.
